Self-assessment

AI Readiness and Maturity Framework

The framework reads an institution through two lenses. Readiness is the capacity to adopt AI responsibly and at scale. Maturity is actual adoption and impact. Both use one 1 to 6 scale with no neutral midpoint, and together they place the institution in one of four positions.

  1. 1Open a dimension below and read what each level looks like.
  2. 2Choose the level that best describes your institution today.
  3. 3Watch your position appear on the grid.

Readiness by maturity

The two lenses combine into one position. Select a quadrant to see what it means and where to focus.

Readiness is the mean of the five enabling dimensions and maturity the mean of the seven value areas. The line between low and high sits at 3.5 on both.

Rate your institution

Each dimension is built from its sub-components. Choose the level whose description your institution's evidence supports. Sub-components marked Foundational cap their dimension at 3 when scored 1 or 2. Rate as many or as few as you like.

Your ratings stay in this browser window. They are not saved or sent anywhere, so print or save them before you leave the page.
